The Fred Heutte Center is located in the Historic Ghent section of Norfolk, Virginia and in the center of Botetourt Gardens. Please note the driving directions to the Center below and the maps which follow.

• From Franklin, Suffolk, and Portsmouth:
• Follow Interstate 264 towards Norfolk.
• Pass through the downtown tunnel.
• Upon exiting the downtown tunnel, cross over the Berkley Bridge and exit to Waterside Drive. Follow Waterside Drive into town as it winds past Nauticus and through town heading north.
• Waterside Drive will become Boush Street through town. Remain on Boush Street, crossing over Brambleton Avenue.
• Boush Street will become Llewellyn Avenue. Travel two blocks and look for the Edith Harrison Opera House on the right. Just a few streets on the left past the opera house, turn on to Westover Avenue and follow it heading west and straight to the Fred Heutte Center. OR, just west of the opera house, turn left onto Olney Road and travel two blocks west and turn right on Botetourt Gardens. You will proceed north directly to the Center.
• From Virginia Beach:
• Follow Interstate 264 West into Downtown Norfolk via the Waterside Drive exit. Then, follow the directions above.
• From Norfolk:
• Route 1: Heading south on Granby Street, Monticello Avenue, Church Street, or Tidewater Drive, turn right onto Brambleton Avenue, heading west. Just beyond the Virginian-Pilot Building turn right onto Boush Street and follow the directions above. (Boush becomes Llewellyn; then pass the opera house and on the left turn onto Westover Avenue following that road until you reach a circle. The Center is in the middle of the circle. You may also turn left from Boush onto Olney Road, travel several blocks west, then turn right onto Botetourt Gardens and proceed north to the Center.)
• Route 2: Heading west on Brambleton towards the midtown tunnel to Portsmouth, turn right onto Colley Avenue. Proceed north on Colley noting street signs on the right. Turn right onto Westover Avenue and head east crossing Colonial Avenue. Proceed directly toward the Fred Heutte Center.
• Route 3: Heading south on Hampton Boulevard, turn left onto Westover Avenue just before approaching the midtown tunnel or Norfolk General Hospital. Travel east crossing Colley and Colonial Avenues and head straight to the Center.
• Route 4: From Brambleton Avenue heading west, turn right onto Boush Street just past the Virginian-Pilot building. Travel a block or two to Olney Road and turn left. Travel three blocks west on Olney Road; then turn right onto Botetourt Gardens. The Center is in the middle of Ghent Square after traveling north on Botetourt Gardens.
• From The Peninsula:
• Take I-664 to Bowers Hill in Chesapeake. At Bowers Hill, merge into the left lane taking I264 East through Portsmouth and into the downtown tunnel then into Norfolk. From there follow the directions above.

OR   Take I-664 to Route 164 exit "Downtown Portsmouth." (Suffolk/Western Branch border area) Follow Route 164 and exit to the left for the "Midtown Tunnel to Norfolk." Pass through tunnel and exit onto Hampton Boulevard heading north. Proceed to the second traffic light and turn right onto W. Princess Anne Road. Follow Princess Anne Road heading east, crossing first over Colley Avenue and then Colonial Avenue. (Each intersection has a traffic light with north/southbound traffic). After crossing over Colonial Avenue, go up one block and turn right onto Botetourt Gardens. Continue one block to the center in the middle of Botetourt Gardens.
